Through a considered approach to spatial planning, material selection and visual connection between the interior and street, Christina’s Bakery transformed a vacant commercial shell into a vibrant, welcoming destination. Completed within a short timeframe, the project contributes to the wider ambition of revitalising the British high street through independent businesses, active frontages and a renewed sense of community.

Drawing inspiration from the warmth and character of Mediterranean architecture, the interior combines an earthy palette of natural timber, textured stone and warm neutral tones with Greek architectural references. Sculptural detailing, rhythmic timber slats and traditional motifs create depth and identity, while carefully considered lighting enhances the atmosphere throughout.

The design balances contemporary functionality with a sense of heritage, celebrating the craft of traditional Greek baking within a distinctly modern setting.
